What is the basic monthly rent?
The rent starts at $2300 a month for a studio, $2900 for a one bedroom, $3100 for a deluxe one bedroom and $3800 for a studio in the Alzheimer's Community.
Do I sign a lease?
No. We rent month to month. Residents must provide 30 days notice before leaving. A community fee equal to 30 days rent will reserve an apartment.
Is the admission fee refundable?
It is until you move into the Landing.
Is the Landing covered by insurance?
The Landing is a private-pay facility; although, long-term care insurance may cover some costs.
May I have overnight guests?
Yes, although requests need to be approved by the community director.
May I have a pet?
Yes, for an additional cost of $25 a month. You must be able to handle all the pet's care without any assistance.
I don't drive. How do I get to my appointments?
A bus is available to take residents to appointments within a 20-mile radius. There is a fee for transportation to appointments outside this radius.
Where can I park my car?
We have ample parking for residents and their guests.
Do you lock the door at night?
The doors are locked at 9 p.m. but residents have keys so they can come and go as they please.
What if I am ill or need help?
Each apartment has an emergency call system, and someone is available 24-hours a day to assist you.
What happens if I'm no longer able to live on my own?
If an internal assessment determines that you can no longer live on your own, we will work with you and your family to find housing that will meet your needs.
I'm on a special diet. How will you handle that?
Special diets are not served; however, the staff will help make selections
from the menu that will meet your dietary needs.
