The Alzheimer's Unit is a unit of 20 studio apartments that are specially designed for those with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. The unit has

	Nursing personnel trained in caring for those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia
	A secure wandering garden to encourage outdoor recreation
	A special dining room
	A program director / LPN ensures our staff members assist residents in feeling secure, needed, successful and connected

Short-stay care/respite care

Short-stay care/respite care is ideal for ambulatory seniors who have been in the hospital and aren't quite ready to go home or for those whose caregivers need a break. Short-stay residents may live at the Landing for as long as two months. The cost starts at $100 per day.

Like full-time residents, short-stay residents receive

	Utilities (except telephone)
	24-hour emergency response system
	Licensed nurses to monitor and coordinate care 24 Hrs. a day

Short-stay residents may also create customized care plans to meet their individual needs.

A program director / LPN ensures our staff members assist residents in feeling secure, needed, successful and connected. Our staff members are trained to be "pro-activity directors". Everything can be and is an activity.
